Venice Neshé McDowell, a native of Newport, RI, (also known as "The Sailing Capital of the World") has always found solace and strength in writing. Raised in a prominent family in Newport, she attributes her love for storytelling to her upbringing. Despite facing challenges, including the loss of her mother at a young age, Venice found refuge in writing. Beginning with the 4H club at the tender age of nine, she delved into the world of words and never looked back.

Writing, journaling, and reading became her passions, with English and language arts standing out as her favorite subjects. Immersed in the art of storytelling, Venice honed her skills through high school, engaging in cyphers and learning from the best lyricists. This period not only deepened her connection to narrative but also fueled her desire to share her own story.
