Nicholas Bishop, known professionally as KB Sound, is a talented artist and producer from Newport, Rhode Island. His musical journey began at the age of 12, fueled by a passion for Hip Hop and a desire to express himself creatively. By the time he was 16, he was actively recording as a Hip Hop artist, setting the stage for a vibrant career in music.
After years of honing his craft as an artist, KB Sound expanded his expertise into music production at 28, allowing him to bring his unique vision to a broader array of projects. His live performances in Newport have solidified his presence in the local music scene, where he is recognized not only for his artistic talent but also for his contributions to the community.

KB Sound has collaborated with notable artists, including Jerrell Grimes, an award-winning independent artist and entrepreneur, who shares KB Sound's Newport roots. Grimes is acknowledged as Newport’s first 21st-century Black author, artist, and entrepreneur. Their collaborations highlight KB Sound's ability to produce high-quality music that resonates with audiences, including the track “Shut It Down (Set It Off),” which was featured in the Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival (TBUFF) nominated independent film "Sammy Slick: Vampire Slayer."
In addition to his work with Grimes, KB Sound produced the theme and introduction for "Sports Talk with Cee," a popular sports entertainment podcast that captures the energy of modern sports culture.
In 2024, he launched KB Sound LLC, evolving from his previous venture, King Bishop Productions. This new company reflects his growth as an artist and producer, affirming his commitment to creating innovative music. Signed to Level10 Recordings, the independent label founded by Jerrell Grimes, KB Sound is ready to continue his journey in the music industry, dedicated to crafting sounds that inspire and engage listeners.
